The granite was supplied by Dwyer Marble and Stone and delivered to Henninger's shop in full slabs.
Adam Klimo and Jerry Klimo, Henninger's marble and granite specialists, worked tirelessly to execute the complicated angles and detailed design.
The installation took place over two trips; first to install the Altar base, and second to install the Altar mensa, Ambo, and Tabernacle Plinth.
Each unique piece has two metal bandings around to frame in the different stones. The Ambo has a special decorative detail on the face, with inward angled panels framing in the center panels.
The sharp angles of the granite furniture contrast nicely with the smooth lines of the radius pews, supplied and installed by New Holland Church Furniture.
A small relic box is cut out at the top of the Ambo base. During the dedication mass, the relics will be installed.
This one of a kind sanctuary set will be enjoyed by the faithful at St. John XXIII Church. Their dedication mass is scheduled for October 11, 2018 - the Feast of St. John XXIII and the anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council.
